Interim positions are those that last less than 9 months. These opportunities may exist throughout the state, and become available primarily in spring and summer, but could be advertised at any time.

The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea hires interim (temporary) employees on a seasonal basis to assist with retail sales, travel information, maintenance and café operations. The Department of Parks hires a large number of temporary employees each year to provide service to guests during peak tourism season. The mission of the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is to provide an environment of care which encourages independence and preserves the dignity and rights of each Veteran.  The Center is located in Wilmore (Jessamine County) KY.  Interim job opportunities are periodically available in food service, housekeeping and laundry operations.

 Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources hires interim (temporary) employees on a seasonal basis.  These employees may perform duties as conservation camp counselor or counselor supervisor at one of three regional camps; maintenance of grounds, equipment and facilities at statewide fish hatcheries or wildlife management areas; fishery or wildlife surveys at remote locations; field sampling activities; computerized entry of field data; greeting customers; interpretive programs for the general public; development of and participation in events and activities for school and other groups; administrative support.  All positions involve interacting with the general public and have the possibility of working weekends.  Applicants must indicate work county choice(s) on the application.

 Kentucky State Fair Board (KSFB)

The Kentucky State Fair Board (KSFB) hires a number of interim (temporary) employees on a seasonal basis.  These positions are for the promotion and production of the 2014 Kentucky State Fair at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) located in Jefferson County. 

These positions involve interaction with the general public, development of and participation in events and activities for the Kentucky State Fair, and administrative support.  They also require flexible schedules and travel with possible overnight stays.  These employees will perform duties as Fair Bear mascots in the Venue Services Division.
